Legal Ausecure, LLC
Privacy Policy
How Ausecure collects, uses, shares and safeguards your information, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Effective October 6, 2026.
Effective October 6, 2026. Ausecure, LLC (“Ausecure”, “we”, “us”) buys and sells physical precious metals through www.ausecure.com and by telephone. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Our Terms of Use also apply to your use of the site and our services.
Information we collect
When you open an account, place an order, sell metal to us, set up Auto-Buy, arrange storage, apply to our affiliate program or contact us, we collect:
- Contact and account details: your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, and password.
- Order and payment details: what you buy or sell, prices, and how you pay. Card numbers are entered directly with our payment processor and stored by it as tokens; we do not keep full card numbers. Bank account details you give us for payouts when you sell to us.
- Verification records: copies of government-issued identification, proof of address, source-of-funds information and tax forms when we need them for large orders, payouts or legal compliance.
- Sell-to-us records: descriptions, photographs, shipment details and inspection or assay results for metal you sell to us.
- Communications: emails, order notes, call recordings where we tell you a call is recorded, and support requests.
- Uphold details: when you choose to sign up or pay with Uphold, Uphold shares with us, with your permission, your name, email address, Uphold account identifiers and the details of the payment you authorize. We never receive your Uphold password, and you can disconnect Uphold from your Ausecure account at any time by contacting us or through Uphold.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referral source, approximate location derived from your IP address, and cookie identifiers, collected automatically when you use the site.
- Information from others: payment confirmations from processors and banks, delivery confirmations from carriers, results from identity-verification, address-verification and fraud-prevention services, and matches against U.S. government sanctions and restricted-party lists.
How we use it
We use personal information to: process your orders, payments and payouts; verify your identity, payment method and address; ship, track and insure your metal; run Auto-Buy and your account; prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access, including by keeping records of accounts we have closed for fraud or non-payment and the contact details, addresses and devices associated with them; comply with the law, including sanctions screening, anti-money-laundering recordkeeping, tax reporting and lawful requests from authorities; send you service messages about your orders, payments, shipments, Auto-Buy plan and account security; tell you about products and offers, which you can decline at any time; and operate, secure, analyze and improve the site and our services.
How we share it
We share personal information with companies that perform services for us and may use it only for that purpose: payment processors, card networks, banks and wallet providers (including Uphold, Apple Pay and Google Pay); carriers, insurers and shipment-tracking services; depositories such as Kingsbaker Metal Depository when you choose storage; identity, sanctions and fraud-screening providers; and hosting, security, email-delivery, analytics and customer-support vendors. We also share information with our professional advisers; with law enforcement, regulators and courts when the law requires or to protect our rights, our customers or the public; and with a successor if our business or assets are sold, merged or reorganized. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your choice about non-affiliated sharing
You may ask Ausecure not to disclose personal information about you to non-affiliated companies except as needed to complete your transactions or as required by law. While this may limit the products, offers and services we can provide to you, Ausecure will fully comply with your request. Email [email protected] and tell us that you choose not to have your personal information shared with non-affiliated third parties.
Cookies and analytics
Like most websites, www.ausecure.com uses cookies (small files stored by your browser) and similar technologies. We use them to:
- Run the site. Keep you signed in, hold your cart and checkout, and protect the site and your account from fraud and automated abuse. These are required for the site to work.
- Remember how you found us. Record whether a visit came from a search engine, a link or a referral partner, so we can attribute orders and pay referral partners correctly.
- Manage on-site messages. Remember whether you have already seen or closed a pop-up so we do not show it again.
- Understand site use. We use Google Analytics to measure how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and collects this information on our behalf. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on www.ausecure.com. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block the cookies required to run the site, you will not be able to sign in or complete an order.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for advertising, our site does not change its behavior when it receives one of these signals. We will revisit this if our practices change.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as your account is open and afterwards for as long as needed for the purposes described above and as the law requires. Transaction, identity and payment records are generally kept for at least five years to meet anti-money-laundering, tax and accounting obligations. Records of accounts closed for fraud or non-payment are kept to prevent repeat abuse. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access limited to employees and contractors who need it, and payment tokenization by our processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password private, and tell us right away at 1-855-528-4653 if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Your rights and choices
You can view and update your details at any time in My Account. You may also email [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to records we are required to keep. You can opt out of product offers by replying to any offer email or contacting us; we will still send you messages about your orders and account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know the categories of information we hold and the purposes for which we use it, to correct or delete it, to opt out of sales or sharing (we do neither), to limit the use of sensitive information, and not to be treated differently for exercising your rights. To exercise these rights, contact us by email or telephone; we will verify your identity before acting and will respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we may ask the agent for proof of authority.
Children
Our site and services are intended for adults who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites and services
Our site links to third-party sites and services, including Uphold, the Better Business Bureau and social networks. Information you provide to them is governed by their own privacy policies. If you pay or sign in with Uphold, Uphold’s privacy policy and terms govern your Uphold account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or by a notice on the site. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
