How to pack and ship your metal.
Metal you sell to us ships to a designated, authorized facility for verification before any funds are released. Get a quote and your Order ID first, then follow these steps.
- Double-box every shipment for insurance purposes: one box fits inside the other. Use reinforced boxes no smaller than a standard medium box.
- Always ship in sturdy, nondescript boxes sealed with high-quality packing tape. Never ship valuables in any type of envelope or folder.
- Pack with care. Cushion your items so the contents can’t shift or rattle.
- Place the smaller box with your metal inside the larger box, with enough cushioning that the inner box can’t shift.
- Print one copy of the Commercial Invoice, sign and date it, and place it inside the inner box.
- Reinforce all corners and edges of the outer box with packing tape.
- Print the shipping label. It goes in a plastic pouch attached to the front of the box.
- Print two copies of the Commercial Invoice and place them in the pouch, behind the FedEx, UPS or USPS label.
- Print an extra copy of the shipping label so you can track your package.
- Photograph your packed boxes and email the pictures to [email protected].
- Your shipment is prepaid. Drop it off at your local shipping center with the printed labels, and make sure the employee scans or signs for it before you leave.
Before you ship: Order ID required. Ausecure is not responsible for any incoming shipment that has not been verified or issued an Order ID by Ausecure.
After delivery: getting paid. Once your metal is received and verified, we pay by wire or check. See receiving payments.
